Jokhang Temple

Went to the Jokhang Buddhist Temple today. It is the most sacred building in Tibet. Thousands of Tibetans pay homage day and night. The ancient Buddha is a 7th century statue of the Buddha at age 12. No photos were allowed.

You can see the Potala Palace, former home of the Dali Lama from the rooftop.
