Village and School

We traveled to a village on the edge of the country to visit a k-6 school who our tour company helps support. We also stayed with local villagers in their homes and socialized on the local park that evening. A group of young folks from various countries who attend the Western Academy of Beijing were also there on a school outing. The village is famous from Communist times as a example of how under the new government peasants can be artists (after training). Today they still produce copies if the older works which are sold in a local gallery.
